At Paws & Pinecones, we believe the things our dogs wear should feel just as thoughtful and beautiful as the life we share with them.

This brand started with us, Rose and Blaine, and our two golden retrievers, Murphy and Avery.

What began as a love for timeless design and quiet, (outdoor) moments slowly turned into something more. Something we wanted to build, share, and make a part of the life we were creating together.

Avery was our old soul. Gentle, steady, and endlessly sweet, she had the kind of quiet presence that made a house feel like home. She came into our lives after spending her earlier years as a puppy mill mama, and somehow, despite everything she had been through, she carried nothing but softness with her.

In July 2026, we said goodbye to our girl.

Avery may no longer be here beside us, but she will always be part of Paws & Pinecones. She was there at the beginning. She helped shape what this brand means to us, slowing down, loving deeply, and realizing just how precious the ordinary days really are.

And then there’s Murphy, our wild little rescue and professional pinecone collector. He’s always carrying something in his mouth, usually a pinecone or his stuffies lamb chop, like it’s the greatest treasure he’s ever found. He brings the adventure, the muddy paws, the mischief, and so much joy.

Together, Avery and Murphy are the heart behind everything we create.

Paws & Pinecones was built for people like us. The ones who see their dogs as family. The ones who know that someday, the little things become the things you miss the most. And the ones who want those little things to feel special while they’re happening.

We wanted pet accessories that feel elevated, not ordinary. Pieces that blend style and function. Pieces you reach for on everyday walks, but also on the days you know you’ll remember.

Every design begins with original artwork and carefully chosen details, inspired by heritage textiles, nature, rustic landscapes, classic Americana, and the quiet beauty of life outdoors, all softened with a romantic, lived-in feel.

But this brand has never really been about what your dog wears.

It’s about muddy paws after long walks. Pinecones brought home like gifts. Dogs in the backseat on road trips. Well-loved bandanas that somehow become keepsakes. Cabin mornings. Lake days. A favorite toy carried from room to room. An old dog sleeping peacefully beside you.

It’s the ordinary moments you don’t realize are memories until one day, you’d give anything to have one more of them.

Losing Avery changed the way we see those moments. It reminded us that a life with dogs will never feel long enough, which makes loving them well, celebrating them, and making the everyday beautiful matter even more.
